When we arrived on Killimanjaro International airport, we were picked up by the company and transported back to Arusha. We immediately took off for our 6 day safari. It was een better than we expected. So many animals, such nice landscapes. Ever slept in absolute darkness? We did that in the middle of Serengeti national park. So many stars in the skies! Ever not been able to go for the bathroom? We couldn't... lions were guarding it :)

What made our safari expierence so great was the staff of Adventureland Safari's. We had an amazing cook, who created great tasting food in enormous amounts (breakfast, lunch and diner). And only by using charcoal fire. Amazing... Furthermore we had a very reliable and relaxed driver who wasn't trying to set the speed record (other companies aren't that reliable. We saw, as result, a crashed car and helped the wounded being transported to an airstrip). The driver tried to find all kinds of animals for us. Remarkable what he saw and we didn't. As a result we saw the big five, though the Rhino was very far away.

Furthermore, we were fortuned to have the owner of the company join us during the safari. He arranged everything and was very helpfull. He gave lots of background information. We also loved the fact that those guys understand the vulnerable status of nature and the animals, and acted like it.

We loved the safari. It was a great experience. Adventureland Safari's also arranged our connection flight to Zanzibar and our hotel arangements. Just as service. Great! We definitely would recommend Adventureland Safari's to friends and to everybody who wants to experience the National Parks in Northern Tanzania.

About my trip with Adventureland Safaris:

1° Mount Meru.
Very interesting trek, as it includes game safari and mountain climbing.
The guiding with the Park Ranger was perfect, especially during the night climb to the summit, from Saddle Hut. You feel safe all the way long.
The accomodation is very good in the Huts, as good as what you can find in the Alpes or in the Pyrenéées in Europe.

2° Kilimanjaro.
The Machame Route is a perfect way to discover the entire mountain: crossing the forest, than the alpine plateau, the sandy slopes, and finally the crater rim with its glaciers allows you to see a wide panel of landscapes. Each day is a discover towards the Kibo summit.

Thanks to your Company for the perfect help you provided with the Guide, the Cook and the Porters; I even think that you forecasted too much food for us all, but it was good to eat well every day, and to feel all right for the next climbing stage.

The Guides know their job very well, can advise you about your speed, so that you can keep your forces until the last hard day, which brings you at dawn to a wonderful dawn.

3° Ngorongoro.
This was the best part of the trip: the wilderness of the area gave me a good view of what makes your country unique: the remainnig nomadic Maasai communities living next to the wild animals of the Ngorongoro.
Special thanks to William the Guide, for his perfect knowledge of the area, the easy contacts he has with Maasai people.
The final day of this trek was the climbing at night of the sacred Maasai mountain: Oldoynio Lengai. Incredible hard climb on volcanic steep slopes, followed by the display of lava flows.
Be sure to hire a Guide like William, and you'll enjoy Lengai!

4° Manyara and Tarangire.
Great parks full of game; thanks to my drivers for allowing me to take pictures whenever I wanted, by stopping often.

I am finally back in malta.
After having left you at Kilimanjaro airport, I traveled to Nairobi,
Lusaka, Kigali and Dubai. It's been a long adventure but definitely a wonderful experience. My children were very excited when I showed them all the photos I took on
safari and of course they wish they were there with me.

Take these as my official comments on your company:

When I started to plan a trip to Mount Kilimanjaro, I didn't know much about the mountain and the possibilities which are available. I just knew that I want to reach the highest point in Africa.
So I started to inform myself with the help of the Internet. It was not really difficult to find companies offering adventure trips to Mount Kilimanjaro. I just wrote an Email to several companies that I found in the Web with the information that I want to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and that they should send me an offer as soon as possible. After few days I already got some replies. All the Emails that I received had nearly the same standard text. But there was one Email from "Adventureland Safari" that was different. I can say that my final decision to choose "Adventureland Safari" as my expedition guide to Mt. Kilimanjaro was because of the good package they were offering. But for me the major reason was the friendly communication (Emails) with Arnold, the owner of the company. In his first Email he informed me about the different routes that are available for climbing and he replied to my many questions that I had, always quickly and in a way that gave me a feeling confidence in him and his company.
When I arrived in Arusha/Tanzania the first thing of them was to come to my place to check the equipment and to introduce the expedition team to me. I forgot some necessary items for the climb at home. It was no problem for "Adventureland Safari, they just gave me the things for the climb. That their client is always safe on the mountain was for them an important rule. The whole team made from the beginning on a serious and professional impression to me.
The climb itself was excellent. I reached the peak (5895m) after five days walking and climbing with the "Adventureland Safari" team, always having a magnificent scenery around me.
Everything was perfect, the food was always prepared nice, I got always enough drinking water and my tent was every day at the right time prepared for me to rest. In the plan for the descent was one overnight in a camp. At this time I was still feeling strong and decided to make it in one day. My team was so flexible that when I arrived at the gate one day earlier as planned, already the "Adventureland Safari" mini bus was waiting for me to bring me safely home to my place in Arusha.

I had really a great time during this Mt. Kilimanjaro expedition with the "Adventureland Safari" team. That's why I want to recommend this company to everyone who wants to make such an expedition. I am already planning to make a safari trip to the famous Serengeti National Park. For sure my first choice will be "Adventureland Safari".

First of all we can only highly recommend Adventure Land afaris Ltd. As a safari operator. We were quite late in organizing our trip to Tanzania and only had the flights booked so we were looking for a safari organizer to do a 4 day safari in the northern circuit. The amount of different safari operators is just incredible and after requesting an offer from a lot of them we were overwhelmed by the amount of different offers we received via e-mail. At first it was quite difficult to compare the offers but it soon turned out that some operators took their business more serious than others. In the end we decided to go with Adventure Land Safaris as they sent us a reasonable offer, gave us lots of recommendations concerning what parks to go to and always replied to our e-mails fast and in a polite and professional way.

We arranged that the team of Adventure Land Safaris would pick us up from the airport in Arusha and we were welcomed by the whole team! The manager Arnold, Johnston whom we wrote e-mails with and our safari guide Melek welcomed us at the airport! They then brought us to the hotel and we went through the trip again to make sure all expectations would be met.

The next morning we were picked up and they drove us to a supermarket where we could buy some things we would not be able to get during the safari itself. We then did a fabulous tour: Starting at the Lake Manyara National Park where we saw lots of baboons, elephants, hippos, giraffes and rhinos was a fabulous start to a great trip! We then continued on to the Serengeti were we spent 2 days. The serengeti is simply amazing, the landscape changes every hour or so and the amount of different animals we saw was great: Lions, giraffes, a cheetah, hippos and many more. The last day we camped at the Ngorongoro crater rim (great camp site with a good view!) and spent the last day of our trip driving in the Ngorongoro crater. This was probably the highlight of the trip with such big herds of buffaloes, elephants, hippos and we even saw a rhino!

We then drove back to Arusha and were welcomed again by Arnold and Johnston who wanted to know how our trip went. All in all everything was perfectly organised, we had the best guide and the best cook – thanks again for everything you did to make sure our safari would be an unforgettable experience!
