Discounts:
· $30/person discount for groups of 6 or more.
· $50/person discount for groups of 12 or more.

Added Charges:
· $210/person for an extra night on the mountain.
Price includes:
· Park entry fees.
· Transport from Arusha to starting point on mountain and return to Arusha/Moshi.
· Hut / camping fees and tents.
· Certified, experienced, English-speaking guides for all routes.
· Porters' salaries.
· Rescue fees (required by national park).
· All meals on the mountain.
· Tents, mattress, cooking equipment, and eating utensils.

Not included:

CAMPING SAFARI 2010:

In a camping safari, you sleep in a tent, generally in a designated camping area inside of the park. Wildlife occasionally roam through the camps during the night." But Hakuna Matata (they cause no troubles).

The lodge safaris include spending evenings in a hotel. Some hotels set up salt licks in the back of the hotel, so that wildlife (particularly elephants) will be encouraged to visit the area.
Notes:
· All prices are per person per day in U.S. dollars, double or triple occupancy.
Discounts:
· $100/person/safari discount during low Season: April 1 - June 15 and November (4 day minimum).

· Transport with 4-wheel drive vehicles with pop-up viewing roofs.
· Camping fees or lodge accommodation.
· All meals (including cook on camping safari).
· Camping equipment, if necessary.
· Park Entry fees.
· Park commission.

· $80/person for an extra night on the mountain.
Price includes:
· Park entry fees.
· Transport from Arusha/Moshi to starting point on mountain and return to Arusha/Moshi.
· Hut fees.
· Experienced English Speaking guides.
· Porters' salaries.
· Cooking equipment and eating utensils.
Not included:
· Sleeping bag.

Tipping:
Tips for guides and porters on Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.
·The typical tip is US$15 per day for guides, US$10 per day for assistant guides, US$ 7 per porter per day. This is from the whole group not per hiker. If they did extra or special work, it is nice to tip higher than this.
· Expect 2 porters per hiker, 1 guide per 6 hikers, and 1 assistant guide per 4 hikers (assistant guides double as porters). On the Umbwe route, expect 3 porters per hiker. On the Lemosho/Crater Camp route, expect 4 porters per hiker.
· Budget: $150-200 per hiker for tips for a 6-day trek.
· Gifts: Guides and porters also appreciate your warm clothing, shoes, and packs.

Safari Tips for guide and cook:
· US$15 per day for driver guide and US$10 per day for cook (basic camping) for the whole safari group.
Expectations:
· Tips should not be dependent on whether you summit or not, but rather whether they were professional and had your best interests in mind.
· If your guides and porters have not met and exceeded your expectations, please inform our office immediately, and don't feel obligated to give a tip. If they press you for a tip during the trek, inform our office as well, as this is also forbidden (asking at the end of the trek is okay).

Payment:
· 30% non-refundable deposit due at time of reservation.
· Final payment due 60 days prior to arrival.
· For security reasons, we recommend transferring the payments directly to our bank account in Arusha using a wire transfer. Alternatively, payment can be made in US Dollars or Euros at our facility. We do not accept credit cards at this time.
